MI Data – Insights handles bespoke product requests from our Long/Short investing teams and produces synthesis reports to help them make better investment decisions.
An Internship with Point72’s MI Data - Insights
MI Data - Insights occupies the pivotal space in the innovation chain at Point72, integrating alternative data into the processes of our Portfolio Managers. MI Data - Insights Analysts help our investment teams determine key business drivers and points of inflection for publicly traded companies by combining new data products with fundamental equity research.
What you’ll do
As a Summer Analyst, you will gain experience in fundamental investment research. In this role, you will:
- Help drive innovation by using alternative data sources in new creative ways
- Gain knowledge and exposure to a face-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
Requirements
Desired skill sets
We want you to join us if you have a strong quantitative background and have analytical mindset. Other requirements include:
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 (or equivalent)
- Interest in equity markets
- Technical programming skills (SQL, Python, R) preferred
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
