FWS Student Access Monitor

Student Access Monitors (SAMs) are an integral component of GWPD's mission. Functioning within our Auxiliary Services Division, SAMs are responsible for access control to various facilities on campus. SAMs are stationed at lobbies and entrances of buildings and ensure all community members have proper identification and access when entering buildings. SAMs serve as the eyes and ears for GWPD and immediately report incidents to GWPD Dispatch. Advancement opportunities include training to serve at the Corcoran Flagg Building, serving as a shift supervisor, or serving as a Senior Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work at least 10 hours/week during the semester
  • Knowledge and familiarity with GW campus resources (Safety and Security, Student Affairs, Title IX, etc.)
  • Superior communications skills
  • GPA of 2.75 or above
  • Customer service experience preferred
