Commercialization Academy Intellectual Property Fellow

Overview:
Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, the University's unit that facilitates intellectual property protection and commercialization of Hopkins research, has internship openings for graduate students. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals seeking exposure and experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • patent searching and literature review to obtain references considered relevant in the art;
  • searching for market data;
  • miscellaneous tasks relating to data management and office support.
 
Preferred traits & skills:
  • Ability to commit 10-19.9 hours per week for at least 1 year*
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Friendly, engaging personality
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Due to federal export controls, only US persons or legal permanent residents can be employed in these positions
* School of Medicine PhD students are limited to 16 hours per week; PI approval required
