Student Office Assistant for Prospect Research and Management

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Student Office Assistant for Prospect Research and Management (PRM) will assist the UM Foundation PRM team to perform a wide variety of duties that include working on specific projects. This position is responsible for data entry, conducting online research tasks using various computer software programs, and review of news alerts, as well as handling other projects as they arise.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
·        Dependable and reliable
·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
·        Proficiency with operation of basic office equipment such as personal computer, copier, and scanner
·        Familiarity with Microsoft Office software applications
·        Proficient use of Excel
·        Strong internet research capabilities, including use of Google, LinkedIn and Facebook
·        Excellent communication skills
·        Self-directed, and yet able to work in a team environment
·        A clear understanding of the need for confidentiality of sensitive information
 
Minimum Qualifications:
·        Must be a University of Montana student
·        Database experience
·        Familiarity with computer software applications, especially Microsoft Office suite
·        Attention to detail and excellent organization skills
·        Ability to understand the need for confidentiality of donor and other information, and to comply with Foundation policies in that regard
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·        Work-study funding;
·        Interest in acquiring hands-on experience with prospect research and philanthropy
