Marketing Intern
Win-Kel is partnering with Google and offering the Airbnb like service in the self-storage industry. You can rent the exact space and duration you need (e.g. 4'x6' for 85 days), at a much cheaper rate in comparison to traditional storage units which offer fixed space with a high price. If you have extra space in your house or apartment (i.e. empty closet, bedroom, basement), you can also make money off of the unused space instead of just leaving it vacant. We started on the bases of helping students save money on summer storage by utilizing the existing space in local communities, and we strive to improve our service every day to help wider range of people cut unnecessary expenses.
We are looking for an Business Development/Marketing Intern who shares the same vision of using your skills for enrichment of communities. The principal role of the intern is to increase Win-Kel’s awareness, presence and users via outreach, customer relations and marketing. You report directly to Yoshi Tsuji, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Win-Kel LLC. The nature of this internship is part-time and remote. The duration of the internship is until the end of the spring term.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a mentor from Win-Kel to create marketing campaigns to find storage hosts and renters.
- Learn and practice creating marketing campaigns utilizing various means.
- Assist the hosts through the process of listing their space to making transactions.
- Assist the renters through the process of finding the right listing to make a transaction.
- Utilize the digital resources to establish Win-Kel’s online presence in the respective area (i.e. social media and forums).
- Network and build trusting relationships with potential customers on both ends of the app
- Measure the conversion rates and other metrics for ongoing campaigns and make adjustments as necessary, while documenting analyses and changes
- Educate customers on the benefits of the Win-Kel app and cultivate new business opportunities
- Maintain Win-Kel presence on the responsible area
- Create and execute local marketing activities
Qualifications
- Located in the target area of Win-Kel
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Some marketing experience preferred
- Sound knowledge of iOS or Android OS
