Intern, Communications

The Communications Intern will support communication activities.

Responsibilities:

• Draft online and print content related to global health and immunization
• Monitor for daily news articles and share relevant media clips with staff
• Create and manage media lists for public relations outreach
• Stay up-to-date on the latest communications and marketing news, tactics and strategies
• Attend relevant global health meetings and share updates with Sabin staff
• Track relevant social media coverage and use appropriate metrics for analysis
• Update website content as needed
• Assist with meetings and events
• Overall Communications Team operations support

Requirements:

• Current Master’s or Bachelor’s student in a related discipline
• Interest in global health or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of basic public relations and social media practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite 
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative suite, video editing, social media tools and graphic design a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to process information quickly
• Extremely detail oriented and highly flexible
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and deadline-driven environment
