Work Study: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Worker

Duties and Responsibilities:
●    Assist with program planning and marketing for events, such as MLK Celebration Week, Heritage Months, Cultural Immersion Trips
●    Act as an office liaison for our culturally-based organizations
●    Co-facilitate focus groups to gauge what programs students would like to see from CLSJE
●    Coordinate and assist with office-wide events
●    Promote a positive brand for the office by maintaining the CLSJE social media sites, marketing and promoting events, creating flyers, and tabling
●    Assist with creating visually appealing bulletin boards for heritage months
●    Compile assessment data
●    Manage online forms
●    Option to join and participate in CLSJE planning committees
●    Research current social justice issues
●    Provide general administrative support, such as filing and maintaining an inventory of supplies
●    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
●    Dependable
●    Comfortable working with diverse populations
●    Detail-oriented
●    Motivated to work independently
●    Familiar with Microsoft Office
●    Knowledgeable and comfortable using various social media platforms
●    Strong written & verbal communication skills
●    Available for some nights and weekends
 
Evaluation Plan:
Work study students will be required to fill out a Weekly Status Report detailing their progress on various projects. Further, work study students will meet weekly with supervisors to ensure the experience aligns with position learning outcomes, individual interests, and departmental priorities. A formal evaluation process will be completed on a semesterly basis.
