Graduate Assistant - Transfer Services

Assist in daily operations of Advising Services/Transfer Services; accurately respond to requests for information; assist with technical projects; assist with website maintenance; maintain confidentiality; work collaboratively with faculty and staff on Transfer Services projects; participate in departmental staff meetings and staff development activities; assist in training and daily management of Transfer Ambassadors; assist in organization and development of WTAMU Talks Transfers Workshop and community college visits.
Provide resources and information to transfer students in order to ease the transition to the University.
Foster relationships with prospective and current transfer students.
Provide accurate information regarding policies, procedures, and resources.
Serve as a resource for transfer students and Transfer Ambassadors.
Organize and execute the tasks of the Transfer Outreach Program, facilitating individual events and the Transfer Ambassador leadership team; measure the success of activities.

Qualifications:
Strong interest in student development and academic success; computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated work with diverse populations (i.e. students with learning disabilities, various ethnic background, non-traditional students, etc); excellent organizational skills; professional attitude and appearance; ability to work independently without direct supervision and be a team player.
