Health, Safety and Environment Intern - Engineering Aerospace Development Program

This intern position is responsible for supporting and facilitating the implementation of health, safety and environmental programs designed to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements (federal, state, local). Primary background and skills for this position should include HSE related coursework and a passion to work in health/safety and environmental. This position reports directly to the HSE&F Site Leader.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Learn about and then maintain and keep current HSE program documentation.
  • Provide support for HSE programs and initiatives including recycling, energy efficiency, waste minimization and supporting regulatory compliance
  • Support Industrial Hygiene sampling programs
  • Support HSE audit preparation
  • Interact with various levels of management to achieve internship objectives
  • Completion of project(s) that provide process improvement, cost savings, waste minimization, or other sustainability programs to be presented to Honeywell Leaders at the conclusion of the internship

Must Have:

  • Completion of Junior year undergraduate studies in health, safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, environmental sustainability, or a related field, with an accredited college or university
  • Due to defense contract work, must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must be able to participate in an internship prior to completing degree program
