Conference Service Representative

Applicants must be available to work at least the summer and fall 2018. Applicants will be required to work some football home game Saturdays. 

This position requires individuals that have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent service. All majors will be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, an ability to work both independently and as part of a team, experience with delighting customers, strong initiative, as well as a strong interest in learning the Henry Center’s processes and applying the knowledge. Must be willing to learn new technology and audio visual (training and support provided). Several tasks will require completion without direct supervision and will require a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Must have reliable transportation to report to work as early as 7am. Must have 15-20 hours per week available to work, including regular availability on at least two weekdays, Friday evenings and football Saturdays.  

Henry Center Conference Service Representatives will receive several hours of training and be responsible for multiple aspects of the customer experience at the Henry Center each day.

Successful candidates will work closely with Henry Center Staff and clients on a daily basis. Common tasks will involve client reception, client orientation to the facility and services, interaction and communication with Henry Center and University Club Managers on Duty and staff, troubleshooting and delivering results for client needs, spot checking event logistics in time-sensitive circumstances, preparing directional signs using PowerPoint, reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders, setting up and storing audio visual and meetings technology, operating cameras during recorded presentations. Weekly recurring operational projects involving cleaning, organizing, computer work or other tasks will be assigned.

At a minimum, successful candidates will be familiar with all Microsoft Office products and be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

This position requires extended periods of standing and walking. Work attire will be business professional.
