Sales Analyst- Retail Test and Learn

The Retail Test & Learn Analyst is responsible for quantitative analyses in support of current and emerging initiatives and tests. The Analyst works collaboratively with all Merchandising business units, suppliers and across departments providing detailed presentations and communicating key insights and results.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Sr. Manager of Retail Testing & Analysis to interpret, roll up and present Category Test results to the CM, DMM and VPMM groups in a timely manner.

Perform advanced quantitative analyses (e.g.,spreadsheet modeling with large datasets and pivot tables, detailed financial /statistical analysis, etc.).

Provide key strategic insights and analytics to drive business decisions based on results for all planogram and/or new item related tests.

Forecast and measure the sales and profit results of prototype and retail design changes.

Concisely explain complex analytical findings to non-analytic peers and internal customers by way of verbal and written presentations.

Perform analysis to identify best customer centric decisions that are actionable.

Deliver ad hoc requests as needed to support the business.



A successful candidate will possess:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey messages to senior leaders in a clear, logical manner.

Ability to multitask several concurrent requests, quickly assemble data and generate impactful insights in a fast-paced environment.

Proactively identify opportunities and drive business decisions based on data and critical thinking.

Required Qualifications

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; some advanced training in Finance, Economics, Mathematics and/or other quantitative analytical degree a plus

Experience using a variety of applications: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) MS SQL, Oracle (or similar SQL capabilities)

Preferred Qualifications
Merchandising experience - understanding of retail merchandising basics (ie, category management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes  

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing or other business related area
