TECHNICAL WRITER
Qualifications:
FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) ratings
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Excellent organization and project management skills
Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
Familiarity with ATA-100 or similar specification
Familiarity with HTML code

Ability to read engineering blueprints
Preferred Experience:
3+ years field experience working as A&P mechanic on Robinson helicopters

2+ years technical writing experience developing Instructions for Continued Airworthiness
(ICA) under 14 CFR Parts 21, 27, and/or 29.General Responsibilities:
The technical writer authors and produces Instructions for Continued Airworthiness for R22,
R44, & R66-series helicopters, including Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, & Kit
Instructions. The technical writer assists Engineering & Technical Support in the production of
Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Pilot Operating Handbooks, Safety Alerts, & Safety Notices.Specific Responsibilities:
Work with technical illustrators to create clear and concise procedures for inspecting and
servicing post-production aircraft and components.Work with multiple departments to determine proper troubleshooting, repair, and replacement
procedures.Evaluate vendor data and how technical documentation functions between original
equipment manufacturers (OEMs).-
Regularly review engineering design changes and recommended changes from operators to
establish scope and prioritization of document revisions.
