Seeds of Faith Christian Academy is seeking a passionate Music Instructor to join our outstanding team of faculty. The ideal candidate will have both enthusiasm for music, as well as the ability to develop engaging lessons which foster academic, social, and spiritual growth in students of various ages.

Courses to be taught by the instructor include: General Music (K - 4), Middle/High School Music (5 - 12), Chorus (5 -12), Band (4 – 12)

 

Reports to: the Principal/Administrator

 

Essential duties of the Music Instructor:

 

  • Designing engaging, grade-appropriate curricula that incorporate biblical principles and encourage a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • Planning meaningful and educational classwork, projects, homework, tests, and quizzes.
  • Keeping record of student activities and performance in accordance with school policies via FACTS management system
  • Maintaining a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior standards and promoting positive interactions.
  • Communicating effectively with parents.
  • Being present at some school functions and preforming additional teacher duties as needed.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a proven background in music/theater.
  • An active Christian witness including regular church attendance and agreement with our Statement of Faith
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Nurturing demeanor and love of children
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or teaching license
