Hiring for the position of Application Development & Support Apprentice in Dover, DE (Onsite). This is an onsite role with a maximum pay rate of $20/hr on W2, with biweekly payment.

Job Details:

• Duration: 6 months
• Work Hours: M-F (37 hours/week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

About the Program:

The DTI Technology Apprentice Program (TAP) is designed to provide training and hands-on experience, preparing participants for future career opportunities in state government IT positions. This entry-level role offers a blend of practical work experience and structured training, aimed at building foundational skills and enhancing knowledge in providing IT support services to state agencies.

Work Environment:

This position is based onsite at DTI office locations in Dover, DE, with the possibility of remote work for up to one day per week after demonstrating independent work capabilities. The role typically involves working in an office setting and may require occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members across different DTI teams and IT specialties.
• Assist IT staff with technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
• Help design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented code and apply various software development methodologies.
• Follow established IT security protocols to protect sensitive data.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license (may be required for travel).
