Floater Preschool Teacher

The Floater Teacher position is considered a full-time position with a beginning in September 2026 and ending in June 2027. However, this position is needed during the school year, so it will have a start date of December 1, 2026 and go through June 10, 2027. 

In addition to calendar holidays, the school is closed for 2 weeks during the winter holidays and 2 weeks for spring break. 

The Floater Teacher position would assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and supervision of children ages 2-5.  Classroom experience or coursework in education preferred. 

If hired, employee must agree to a background check, to be fingerprinted, and receive approval of all background check documents required by the DOHMH.

A current health form will be required, as well as a TDAP shot and TB test results. Your file will also need to show proof of vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella or documentation of immunities for each.

The Floater Teacher position will be expected to take all required trainings by their due date (most are online at your convenience) mandated by the Board of Health.
