Laboratory/Pretreatment Technician

Upper Blackstone Clean Water is a MA Grade 7 Wastewater Treatment Plant in Millbury, currently accepting resumes for a Laboratory/Pretreatment Technician for our summer 2027 internship program.

We are one of New England’s largest clean water treatment plants serving roughly 260,000 people in the greater Worcester area and managing biosolids for an additional 14 communities.

Qualified candidates will perform bacteriological and chemical tests and analyses and complete basic analyses in connection with wastewater treatment. Duties will include collection of wastewater samples, preparing reagents and glassware, use of laboratory instrumentation and entering laboratory results into a database or spreadsheet program as well as assistance with industrial pretreatment activities.

Requirements: Accepted to college and will attend in coming semester or attending college with courses related to biology or environmental science.
