After-School Program Staff Restoration Ministries

Location: Harvey, Illinois Employment Type: Part-Time | Onsite Compensation: $15–$17 per hour

Restoration Ministries operates an after-school program Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 6 PM (students arrive at 3 PM), plus one Friday per month for networking or family events. We are seeking After-School Program Staff to lead 5th-6th and Kindergarten.

The role

You'll work directly with students in a structured after-school setting, helping them grow academically and socially in a supportive, faith-grounded environment.

What you'll do

- Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to help master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by lead teachers. - Create educational lessons and games to promote continual learning throughout the school year. - Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, the school yard, gym, and on field trips to support physical, mental, and social development. - Engage in all activities — gym, group reading, crafts — and assist in serving meals daily. - Serve as a role model by demonstrating high standards of personal conduct. - Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage. - Provide extra support to students with special needs, including non-English speaking students and those with physical or developmental disabilities. - Enforce administration policies and follow Restoration Ministries employee policies.

About you

- Experience working with children or youth in an educational or program setting preferred. - Patient, reliable, and comfortable managing a group of middle schoolers. - Able to commit to the Monday–Thursday schedule and occasional Friday events.
