Facilities CAD Engineering Intern

Facilities CAD Engineering Intern:We are seeking a motivated Engineering or Architecture Co-op student to assist with developing comprehensive CAD models of our manufacturing facility. This project will involve creating detailed digital floor plans and facility layouts that can be used to support facility planning, equipment management, space utilization, and future improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop CAD drawings and 2D/3D models of the existing facility.

Map facility layouts, including walls, rooms, offices, production areas, and equipment.

Create organized CAD layers to distinguish building structures, workspaces, equipment, utilities, and other facility components.

Gather and verify facility measurements and existing layout information.

Work with facility and operations personnel to ensure drawings accurately reflect current conditions.

Organize and maintain CAD files for future updates and reference.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software.

Ability to interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and technical layouts.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees across multiple departments.
