Children’s Ministry Director

OverviewThe Children’s Ministry Director provides leadership and direction for Valley Brook’s ministries serving children from newborn through Grade 5 and their families. This full-time position is responsible for developing and supporting ministry programs, equipping and leading volunteers, and helping children and families grow in their relationship with Jesus

Qualifications:• Mature Christian faith• Two to five years of experience in teaching and leading a ministry.• BA in education or ministry; MA in either is desired, but not required.

Children’s Ministry• Provide leadership and direction of Children’s Ministry (newborn through Grade 5).• Recruit, train, and supervise teachers and workers for Sunday morning and midweek children’s events and classes.• Provide care and follow-up for children and their families.• Oversee the budget, communications, curriculum selection, and the volunteer process.• Plan and oversee a weeklong Summer Camp program. • Plan special gatherings for children and their families.• Participate and serve in All Church Outreach events

Other• Plan and implement follow-up communication with new families.• Serve on the Senior Leadership Team with staff and elders. • Attend Dream Team meetings.• Serve and lead in other areas of Valley Brook as able.
