About the Founder's FellowshipThe Founder's Fellowship is a 12-week program for four students, one in each of four tracks: business development, marketing, legal strategy, and growth operations. You learn directly from Embra's founders, meet weekly as a cohort, and finish with a capstone project you present at Founder Demo Day.

About this opportunityStartups live or die on a few numbers, and most founders have to figure out which ones matter while the company is still small. This track teaches you how. You will learn how early-stage companies choose metrics, build simple reporting, study competitors, and turn research into decisions. You will also see how a founder who builds software with AI thinks about tools, systems, and process.

What you will learn- How startups define and track key performance indicators- Market intelligence and competitive analysis- Data analysis with spreadsheets and basic business intelligence tools- Dashboard design: what to show, what to leave out- CRM concepts and how a sales pipeline is measured- Process improvement and simple operating systems for a small team- Strategic planning- Startup funding structures, accelerators, and how founders research them- Performance reporting for founders and investors

Educational activities and supervised experiences- Learn how Embra thinks about its own metrics in founder-led sessions- Analyze sample or de-identified datasets- Compare competitors and their business models- Study how CRM and reporting workflows are set up, using practice data- Build prototype dashboards for review- Research accelerators and funding structures and present a comparison- Propose improvements to hypothetical or clearly scoped business processesYou will work with sample or de-identified data. You will not be given access to student or attorney personal data.

Qualifications- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student- Comfort with numbers and an interest in how businesses make decisions- Clear writing, especially explaining what data means in plain words- Able to commit 10 to 15 hours a week for 12 weeks- Able to earn academic credit for this internship through your schoolNo previous internship experience is required.

Preferred, not required- Coursework in business analytics, information systems, economics, finance, management, mathematics, or data science- Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or a BI tool such as Tableau or Looker Studio- Interest in startups or venture funding

Fellowship benefits- Weekly time with Embra's founders on operations, strategy, and career development- A weekly cohort learning session with the other three fellows- Career support of your choice: resume review, interview practice, or a portfolio review- Chances to meet founders and other professionals at Embra events, when available- A capstone project you can walk through in interviews, subject to confidentiality limits- A certificate of completion and a written evaluation- A personal reference for strong performers (earned, not guaranteed)

Capstone project: Embra Growth Intelligence & Operations StrategyYou produce one of three things: a research report on a growth question, a prototype dashboard built on sample data, or a proposal to improve an operating process. Whichever you pick, it must show the question, the evidence, and a clear recommendation. You present it at Founder Demo Day.
