Pickleball Stars is a growing NYC youth sports enrichment company bringing the joy of pickleball to elementary and middle school students.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and caring individuals who enjoy working with children, love being active, and want to make a positive impact.

At Pickleball Stars, we believe sports are a powerful way to help children develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Our programs combine fun, engaging pickleball activities with meaningful opportunities for children to learn, grow, make friends, and develop essential life skills.

What You’ll Do

• Lead fun, engaging pickleball classes for children ages 5–15.
• Teach fundamental pickleball skills through games and structured activities.
• Follow our provided curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a safe, welcoming, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and participation.
• Supervise groups of children with patience, care, and enthusiasm.
• Set up and organize equipment before and after classes.
• Follow school attendance, supervision, safety, and dismissal procedures.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and the Pickleball Stars team.
• Adapt activities to accommodate different ages, abilities, and learning styles.

• Energetic and positive: Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a love of movement to every class.
• Confident communicators: Comfortable leading groups and communicating with children and adults.
• Team players: Open to feedback, collaboration, and professional growth.

Experience in teaching, coaching, summer camps, childcare, mentoring, or youth sports is strongly preferred.

Pickleball or tennis experience is a plus but not always required. Training and coaching guidance are provided.

Our coaching career pathway includes:

Rookie Coach → Lead Coach → Mentor Coach → Master Coach

As coaches gain experience, demonstrate leadership, and take on additional responsibilities, they may become eligible for:

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enjoy working with children ages 5–15.
• Available for at least one weekday afternoon, typically between 2–5 PM.
• Able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule during assigned programs.
• Demonstrate responsibility, patience, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Prioritize children’s safety and well-being.
• Complete the required onboarding and training process.
• Satisfy applicable background checks, fingerprinting, and school clearance requirements.
• Communicate reliably with the Pickleball Stars team.
