Ski and Snowboard Instructors teach guests the fundamentals of skiing or snowboarding, including balance, turning, stopping, and proper equipment use, tailoring instruction to each guest's age and skill level — from first timers to more experienced riders.
What you'll do
Assess each guest's ability at the start of the lesson and select terrain appropriate to their skill level. Teach balance, turning, stopping, and safe lift use in a clear, approachable way. Check that guests have properly fitted equipment before heading out. Monitor guests continuously on the slope for safety and confidence. Provide safety guidance throughout the lesson, including on lifts where applicable. Adapt your teaching style to suit different ages, learning styles, and experience levels.
About you
Comfortable skiing or snowboarding at an intermediate level or above. Able to communicate clearly and patiently with guests of all ages. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions. Prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus, but not required. Certification (PSIA, AASI, or equivalent) is preferred but not required for all positions.
