7th-8th Grade Teacher

Middle School Teacher (Grades 7–8)

Reign Christian Academy | Denver, Colorado • Full-Time | Classical Christian Education

About Reign Christian Academy

Reign Christian Academy is a growing K–8 classical Christian school in Southwest Denver committed to cultivating wisdom, virtue, and academic excellence in a Christ-centered community. Through small class sizes, meaningful relationships, and a distinctive hybrid learning model, Reign provides students with a rigorous and joyful education that nurtures intellectual curiosity, develops strong character, and encourages a lifelong love of learning.

At the heart of Reign's mission is the conviction that a world-class classical Christian education should not be reserved only for the families with financial means. Located in Southwest Denver, Reign seeks to make an exceptional, Christ-centered education accessible to urban students and families who might otherwise never have the opportunity to experience it.

Our teachers have the unique privilege of bringing the richness of the classical tradition—great books, enduring ideas, intellectual rigor, and Christian character formation—to students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Teaching at Reign is more than an opportunity to work in a small, growing school; it is an opportunity to help expand educational access, cultivate human potential, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.

The Opportunity

Reign Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and capable Middle School Teacher for grades 7–8 who delights in teaching young adolescents and helping them grow in intellectual independence, personal responsibility, and Christian character.

With approximately 8–12 students per classroom, our teachers have the opportunity to know students individually, challenge them academically, and provide meaningful support according to their needs. We seek an educator who combines a love of learning with strong classroom leadership, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to the classical Christian tradition.

The ideal candidate cultivates academic rigor, thoughtful discussion, mutual respect, and joyful engagement in learning. As a growing school, Reign offers opportunities to contribute to school culture and collaborate closely with colleagues.

Our Hybrid Classical Model and Full-Time Schedule

This is a full-time teaching position, with responsibilities extending beyond morning classroom instruction. The complete school-day schedule includes direct instruction, individualized student support, lesson preparation, assessment, collaboration, and professional development.

Morning Academic Instruction (8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.)

Teachers provide structured, whole-class instruction emphasizing foundational knowledge, critical thinking, discussion, and mastery of academic content.

Afternoon Individualized Learning and Professional Responsibilities

Students may remain on campus for additional instruction, intervention, independent study, or small-group support. Teachers provide individualized support and partner with families whose children complete portions of their work at home. Afternoons also include planning, grading, assessment, family communication, and other instructional duties.

Friday Enrichment and Professional Development

Fridays are part of the regular full-time teaching schedule and include student enrichment, community experiences, collaborative planning, lesson preparation, staff meetings, and professional development. Teachers typically deliver approximately 18 hours of whole-class instruction weekly, with the remainder of the full-time schedule dedicated to individualized instruction and professional responsibilities.
