Project Accountant

About Critical Facility Group
CFG is a remote-first MEP engineering and owner’s project management firm specializing in data centers and mission-critical facilities. Our job: keeping the blinky lights blinking.

The Role
The Project Accountant keeps CFG’s project numbers clean, current, and meaningful, so PMs and leadership always know where every project stands. You’ll own our project management platform, Monograph, day to day, and grow into a broader role on our team.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up new projects in Monograph: fees, phases, budgets, and staffing
  • Monitor weekly timesheets and follow up on missing or miscoded hours
  • Track budget vs. actuals and flag projects at risk to PMs early
  • Prepare monthly invoice data and support billing
  • Build reports on project profitability, utilization, and backlog
  • Become CFG’s in-house Monograph expert and help train staff
  • Over time, cross-train on accounts receivable and billing

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting, billing, or AR experience
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable following up with busy engineers and PMs
  • Experience at an architecture, engineering, or professional services firm is a plus
  • Experience with Monograph, Deltek, BQE Core, or QuickBooks is a plus

Why CFG
This is a new role built to grow. You’ll learn project accounting in a fast-growing industry, work fully remote, and have a clear path into a bigger role.
