- Test and certify runs, then label and document per drawings
- Mount and dress racks, ladder rack and cable management
- Rough-in and pre-wire for cameras, access control and AV
- Keep job sites clean, safe and organized, and report progress to the project lead
Required
- 1+ year of hands-on trade work: low-voltage cabling, electrical (apprentice or helper), construction, carpentry, drywall, HVAC or similar. Cabling experience is a plus; we'll teach the rest
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifts; able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record
- Skilled and safe with hand and power tools (drill/driver, hole saws, oscillating tool); own basic hand tools. Gardient provides cabling tools and testers
- Able to pass a background check and fingerprinting
Nice to have
- Texas DPS Private Security registration (alarm or access control installer), or willingness to get it
- BICSI Installer or manufacturer cabling certification
- Fiber termination and testing experience (Fluke or similar)
- Experience with IP cameras, access control or AV systems
Pay and schedule
- Pay: $18-$28 per hour, based on experience and certifications
- Hours: 15-30 per week, part-time W-2
- Schedule: daytime, mostly Monday-Friday; occasional after-hours work for occupied sites
- Extras: mileage reimbursement for job-site travel, paid training and certification toward Texas DPS registration
