Teacher Assistant
About the Position
We are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
The Preschool Teacher Assistant will work alongside the lead teacher to support daily classroom activities, encourage children’s development, and help create a fun and engaging learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and play-based learning experiences.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, sharing, and independence.
- Assist children with daily routines, including handwashing, toileting, meals, and cleanup.
- Prepare classroom materials and help maintain an organized, welcoming learning environment.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness and follow health and safety procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Provide individualized support to meet children’s developmental needs.
