Staff Training Specialist, Aurora

Educators in Aurora, Centennial, Parker, and Commerce City can apply to train school staffs in classroom management. We've been training educators since 1993, and the total now tops 400,000 across all 50 states.

Staff training specialists lead classroom management training for whole K-12 staffs, in person or virtually, and help each school put the strategies to work. You won't be assigned a territory. Train in your own district, nearby, or anywhere else, in person or online.

If you've taught, coached, counseled, led a school, or worked as another K-12 educator, now or in the past, this is for you. Applicants with a bachelor's degree are preferred. Most of our trainers still work in schools, training on weekends, evenings, personal days, and summers.

The role is independent contracting under a 1099, so there are no guaranteed hours. Pay is typically $1,000 or more per training day, and it's sent every Friday. Outreach is part of the job: most trainings come from schools you contact, using the approach from certification. When a school wants a training, your National Director writes the contract and negotiates the details.

The first step is certification, a virtual weekend program of 36 hours over three days on two weekends that ends with presenting practice. Orientation, training materials, and ongoing support come with certification. Tuition comes with certification, with options for sponsorship or paying over time. Certification also carries eligibility for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Student applicants are welcome if they plan to finish certification.
