Teacher Workshop Facilitator, Tampa
Are you a Tampa-area educator, in Brandon, Riverview, Temple Terrace, or Plant City, with classroom management skills other teachers ask about?
Workshop facilitators lead classroom management workshops for K-12 staffs, in person or online, and keep teachers practicing the strategies throughout. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has trained 400,000-plus educators in all 50 states, starting in 1993.
Pay is typically $1,000 or more per training day, and it's sent every Friday. Work is on a 1099 independent contractor basis, and we can't guarantee hours. Finding schools is mostly up to you, and certification teaches an outreach approach for it. You won't write contracts. Your National Director does that and handles the negotiating.
Nobody gets a territory. Your schools can be in Tampa, a few hours away, or anywhere in the country. Most trainers still work in schools, so they train in the evenings, on weekends, on personal days, and in summer.
First you'd complete the virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours spread across two weekends, covering the content and then how to present it. The certification has tuition, which sponsorship or a pay-over-time plan can cover. Want graduate credit? The certification is eligible for 4 credits through UMass Global. After certification, you'll have orientation, materials, and ongoing support when you need it.
We'd like to hear from current and former K-12 educators, including teachers, principals, counselors, and coaches. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Students are welcome as long as they intend to get certified.
