Professional Development Trainer
We're looking for educators in Omaha, Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista, and Council Bluffs who want to train other teachers in classroom management.
Professional development trainers present a training day on classroom management to K-12 staffs, either at the school or online. Since most trainers are still teaching or leading schools, they train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and summers. You can train schools in your own district, in neighboring ones, or in any state, since there are no territories.
Founded in 1993, our organization has now trained more than 400,000 K-12 educators across the country. If you've taught, coached, counseled, led a school, or worked as another K-12 educator, now or in the past, this is for you. Bachelor's degree preferred.
First you'd complete the virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours spread across two weekends, covering the content and then how to present it. You can earn 4 graduate credits through UMass Global with the certification. You pay tuition to get certified, and sponsorship and pay-over-time options are there if you need them. If you're still a student, you can apply as long as you plan to finish certification.
Certified trainers receive orientation, training materials, and continuing support. Certification shows you how to reach out to schools, and that outreach brings in most trainings. Your National Director takes over from there, writing the contract and negotiating terms. The trainers we work with are 1099 independent contractors, and none has guaranteed hours. You'd typically earn at least $1,000 per training day, paid on Fridays.
