Teacher Training Facilitator, Sacramento
Teachers in Sacramento, Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, and Citrus Heights: if you'd like to help a whole staff instead of one colleague at a time, this is worth a look.
Teacher training facilitators lead classroom management sessions for K-12 staffs, in person or online, and give teachers time to practice the strategies during the training. Territories aren't part of this. Train around Sacramento, travel for a school you connect with, or work online. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has trained 400,000-plus educators in all 50 states, starting in 1993.
The role is independent contracting under a 1099, so there are no guaranteed hours. Training days typically pay $1,000 or more, with payment every Friday.
Certification teaches you how to approach schools, and most trainers book their trainings that way. Your National Director prepares the contract and negotiates with the school.
The virtual Weekend Certification comes first: 36 hours, three days, two weekends, Content Mastery and then High-Impact Facilitation. There is tuition, and you can cover it with sponsorship or spread it out over time. You can also put the certification toward 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Orientation and a full set of training materials are part of certification, and so is ongoing support.
We welcome applications from current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, and other educators. Candidates with a bachelor's degree are preferred. Students who plan to complete certification are welcome. You can keep your school job. Most trainers do, and they train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer.
