Teacher Development Trainer, Arizona

Have you helped newer teachers in Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Flagstaff, or Yuma get their classrooms under control? Then you've already done a version of this job. As a teacher development trainer, you'd lead classroom management training days for K-12 staffs, in person or online, and help teachers build habits that make the school year easier.

Starting in 1993, we have trained upward of 400,000 educators in all 50 states. There's no territory to stay inside. You can train at schools in your area, across Arizona, or in other states.

Most of the people who train for us are active teachers and administrators who take trainings on personal days, evenings, weekends, and summers. It's an independent contractor role (1099). Nothing guarantees a set number of hours or trainings. Typical earnings are $1,000 or more per training day, paid every Friday.

Certification shows you how to reach schools, and most trainings come from that outreach. After a school says yes, your National Director writes the contract and negotiates it.

Before your first training, you'll complete our Weekend Certification online. It runs 36 hours over three days on two weekends. Certification carries tuition. Sponsorship is available, and so is paying over time. Completing certification makes you eligible for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Orientation, materials, and support continue after the weekends end.

Good candidates include current or former K-12 teachers, principals, counselors, and coaches, along with other educators. Students can apply too, if they plan to complete certification.
