Professional Development Trainer, Florida

Retired principals in Tampa, assistant principals in Orlando, teachers in Jacksonville and Miami: this posting is for Florida educators who want to train other teachers in classroom management.

Our professional development trainers present a full training day to a school's teachers, in their building or online, with strategies they can use the following week. Most trainers keep their school jobs and take trainings on weekends, evenings, personal days, and during the summer.

The arrangement is 1099 independent contracting. We can't promise hours, and the number of trainings varies. Training days typically pay $1,000 or more, and payday is Friday.

You'll find most of your trainings by reaching out to schools the way certification teaches you to. Your National Director then writes the contract and negotiates it. Trainers can work anywhere in the country because there are no territories.

Plan on our virtual Weekend Certification first: three days over two weekends, 36 hours, covering the material and then facilitation. The certification carries eligibility for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Materials, orientation, and ongoing support are included. The certification has a tuition cost, which you can cover through sponsorship or pay over time.

Since 1993 we have worked with more than 400,000 educators, and that count includes teachers in all 50 states. This is for current or former K-12 educators: teachers, principals, coaches, counselors, and others who have worked in schools. Current students are welcome as long as they plan to finish certification.
