Teacher Training Specialist, Texas

If you teach in Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Lubbock, or anywhere else in Texas, and classroom management is the part of the job you're best at, we'd like to talk with you about training other teachers. Educators in Texas and every other state are among the more than 400,000 we have trained since 1993.

As a teacher training specialist, you'd lead classroom management training for school staffs, in person or online, and help teachers put the strategies to work in their own rooms. Where you train is up to you, since there are no territories: nearby districts, the far side of Texas, or another state.

The starting point is our virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours spread over two weekends. Certification comes with tuition, and you can pay it over time or find a sponsor. For completing certification, 4 graduate credits through UMass Global are available. Orientation, materials, and support are part of the package.

Each trainer is a 1099 independent contractor. No hours are guaranteed. Expect to bring in most of your own trainings by contacting schools as taught in certification. Your National Director then writes the contract and negotiates it. Training days typically pay $1,000 or more, and payday is Friday.

Most of the people who train for us are active teachers and administrators who take trainings on personal days, evenings, weekends, and summers.

We welcome current and former K-12 teachers, principals, counselors, coaches, and other school-based educators. Students are welcome too, as long as completing certification is part of the plan.
