K-12 Educator Trainer

Years spent leading a building or coaching teachers count for a lot in this role. As a K-12 educator trainer with the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, you'll train school staffs in classroom management and bring your own experience into every session. The sessions reach teachers at every grade level.

We've trained more than 400,000 educators in all 50 states since 1993. Most of our trainers are active teachers and administrators who schedule trainings around their jobs, on evenings, weekends, personal days, and summers.

Every trainer goes through our virtual Weekend Certification first. Expect 36 hours over three days across two weekends, starting with the content and ending with facilitation. The certification carries tuition, and sponsorship and pay-over-time options can help cover it. It also qualifies for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, and you get orientation, training materials, and ongoing support with it.

You'd be a 1099 independent contractor without guaranteed hours. A training day typically pays $1,000 or more, with payment every Friday. Trainings mostly come from schools you reach with the outreach approach from certification, and your National Director drafts each contract and negotiates it. With no territories, you can train in your own district, nearby, or anywhere in the country, in person or virtually.

If you're a current or former K-12 teacher, coach, counselor, principal, or other educator, we want to hear from you. Students are welcome too if they plan to complete certification.
