Classroom Management Speaker
Classroom management is the whole subject here. Our speakers present it to K-12 school staffs, in person or virtually, using a research-based program from the Center for Teacher Effectiveness. We've trained more than 400,000 educators in all 50 states since 1993.
This role fits people who are comfortable speaking to a full staff and who have spent real time in schools. Most of our speakers are current teachers and administrators. They speak on evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer, and many keep their day jobs.
You'll prepare through our virtual Weekend Certification, 36 hours over three days on two weekends. You learn the content and then work on facilitation. Tuition applies, and sponsorship and pay-over-time options are available. The certification is eligible for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, with orientation, training materials, and ongoing support included.
Speakers work as 1099 independent contractors, without guaranteed hours. How often you speak depends on you and the schools you work with. The typical rate is $1,000 or more per training day, paid every Friday. You'll book most engagements by reaching out to schools with the approach we teach, and your National Director writes the contract and handles the negotiation. Because there are no territories, you can speak in your own district or anywhere in the country.
We welcome current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, and other educators. Students can apply if they plan to complete certification.
