Teacher Workshop Facilitator
Good facilitation turns a staff workshop into something teachers use the next morning. We want educators who'd like to run classroom management workshops for K-12 teachers at every grade level, in person or online, as independent contractors.
Facilitation gets a full day of our certification. Each facilitator first completes the virtual Weekend Certification: 36 hours over three days on two weekends, with Content Mastery followed by High-Impact Facilitation. Certification has tuition, and you can lean on sponsorship or pay-over-time options to cover it. It's eligible for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global and comes with orientation, training materials, and ongoing support.
The work itself is 1099 contract work, and no hours are guaranteed. Facilitators typically bring in $1,000 or more per training day, with pay every Friday. Most sessions start with schools you contact using the outreach approach from certification, and your National Director takes care of the contract and the negotiation.
No one is limited to a territory. Run workshops in your own district, the districts nearby, or anywhere in the country, whichever suits you. Most of our facilitators are working teachers and administrators, and they schedule workshops on evenings, weekends, personal days, and summers.
The Center for Teacher Effectiveness was founded in 1993 and has trained more than 400,000 educators in all 50 states. This role is open to current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, and other educators. Students are welcome if they intend to complete certification.
