Part-Time Strength Coach (Women's Semi-Private Training)

Merced Elite Gym is a locally owned, women-only semi-private strength studio in Merced. We cap sessions at 12 women, and our coaches are measured on one thing: did she get stronger? We're adding one more coach to our team.

What you'll do

  • Coach small-group strength sessions (mornings from about 4:30 AM and evenings until about 8:30 PM) with a focus on form, safety, and encouragement
  • Run new-member evaluations and first sessions, follow up on attendance, and check in on member progress
  • Take on a rotating team role, such as onboarding, attendance follow-up, or member recognition
  • Have your ideas go into the program, not a suggestion box

What we're looking for

  • Any trainer certification (for example NASM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA) or a kinesiology degree in progress or completed
  • Energetic, passionate, selfless, and a little obsessed with other people's progress
  • You don't need the best resume. We hire for attitude and coachability.

Schedule

Part-time, about 8 to 25 hours per week, mornings, evenings, or a mix. Start date is January 1, and we are interviewing now.

Room to grow

This role is the start of a career path, not a dead end. Coaches who show leadership could move into:

  • Lead Trainer, mentoring other coaches and helping shape the program
  • Gym Operations Management, helping run the studio day to day
  • Remote Sales, helping women find the right membership and fit

We promote from within, and your ideas go into the program.

Why Merced Elite

No franchise and no corporate office. It's a gym we built from nothing, and we're still building it. There's a real path here, from coach to head coach to team lead to manager. You'll learn directly from the owner how a boutique studio runs.

Pay: $16.90 to $25 per hour depending on experience, plus bonus and commission opportunities. Career development is included.
