3rd/4th Grade Combination Classroom Teacher
Timothy Christian School, a Kindergarten–8th grade Christian Schools International-accredited school located near Wellsburg, Iowa, is seeking a full-time third/fourth grade combination teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. All candidates should strive to model Christ in their daily lives and actively participate in a Christian church community.
This position description has two components: the responsibilities associated with the teaching position and the qualifications necessary for employment.
Description of Tasks
The teacher will be responsible for teaching a combined classroom of third- and fourth-grade students. Social Studies, Science, and Bible will be taught on a two-year rotation. Math, reading, spelling, and language arts will be taught at each grade level, with instruction designed to meet students' individual learning needs.
Qualifications
1. Professional Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
- Holds a valid state teaching license.
- Elementary teaching experience preferred.
2. Spiritual Qualifications
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Bible and its teachings.
- Demonstrates an understanding of God's will for their life.
- Provides evidence of an ongoing commitment to personal spiritual growth and a daily walk with Christ.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the spiritual growth of colleagues and students.
- Agrees with the school's Statement of Faith.
- Lives in accordance with the spiritual principles outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7.
