Sports Marketing & Operations Internship

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about sports, marketing, business, and building a career in the sports industry?

ETS Performance Novi is looking for motivated, creative, and driven individuals who want to gain real-world experience in sports marketing, business development, and facility operations.

This internship goes beyond creating social media posts or completing hours for school. You'll work directly alongside facility leadership, help grow the ETS brand, build relationships within the community, and gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a successful sports performance business.

Our goal is to help you develop valuable professional skills, build your portfolio, and gain experience that prepares you for future career opportunities.

What You'll Gain

1. Marketing & Content Creation

• Create engaging social media content, including photography, videography, athlete features, and promotional campaigns.
• Help develop and execute marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Learn how to use storytelling and digital marketing to support business growth.

2. Business Development & Sales

• Gain hands-on experience with lead generation, customer outreach, and sales conversations.
• Learn how ETS connects with prospective athletes and families, schedules evaluations, and converts interest into memberships.
• Develop valuable communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.

3. Community Outreach & Events

• Help build relationships with local schools, sports teams, clubs, and community organizations.
• Assist with identifying, planning, promoting, and executing events, camps, and community initiatives.
• Learn how partnerships and community involvement contribute to long-term business growth.

4. Business & Facility Operations

• Gain exposure to the systems and processes involved in operating a sports performance facility.
• Learn about customer experience, scheduling, organization, and day-to-day business operations.
• Understand how marketing, sales, coaching, and operations work together to create a successful business.

5. Mentorship, Projects & Career Growth

• Work directly with ETS facility leadership and receive ongoing feedback and professional development.
• Take ownership of a meaningful project focused on generating leads, improving business operations, or enhancing the customer experience.
• Build a portfolio of real work and measurable accomplishments.
• Explore potential future opportunities in marketing, business development, operations, and leadership as ETS continues to expand.

Who We're Looking For

• Students or recent graduates studying Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.
• Individuals passionate about sports, athletics, and working with people.
• Creative thinkers who enjoy developing ideas and solving problems.
• Strong communicators who are organized, dependable, and willing to take initiative.
• Coachable individuals who want to learn, grow, and contribute to a team.
• An interest in social media, photography, videography, sales, or business development is a plus.

Previous experience is helpful, but character, work ethic, creativity, and willingness to learn matter most.

Internship Details

Location: ETS Performance — Novi, Michigan

Commitment: Minimum 10 hours per week, with scheduling based on academic requirements and facility needs.

Internship Timeline: January - May 2027 (Flexible start/end dates and scheduling)

Compensation: Unpaid internship. Gym membership is included.

Experience: Hands-on marketing, content creation, business development, sales training, community outreach, and facility operations.
