Salary Range: $13.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

The County is currently accepting applications for the position of PT Library Page at Rowan Public Library, which has branches in Salisbury, Rockwell, China Grove, and Cleveland. This position sorts and shelves library materials using the Dewey Decimal System; shelf-reads collections, empties book drops, maintains book displays, greets customers, assists customers in locating library materials, using the library catalog and copier, retrieves materials for customers and library staff. Day, evening, and weekend work required. Hours will vary based on needs of the branch location. Approximately 8 – 12 hours per week. Hours will not exceed 999 hours per calendar year.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires ability to sort items by letter, number and subject and to follow oral and written instructions; ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Minimum requirements include completion of tenth grade. High school diploma and library experience preferred.
