Tech Painting Company, Inc. Operations Intern

Tech Painting’s Operations Intern position is a full-time, multitasking position in an often fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The successful Intern will work closely with Tech Painting’s Operations Management team and will be responsible for assisting with the profitability and productivity of the operations department. Bilingual Spanish preferred. He/She will establish and maintain performance standards and ensure that each contract is smoothly executed. It is hoped that an internship opportunity for us will lead to a permanent position upon graduation and completion of a successful experience.

Responsibilities:• Assist with scheduling painting projects• Assist with identifying and ordering long-lead items• Create job forms as needed• Assist with assigning team members to projects• Monitor job progress and assist with quality control• Maintain and vet a group of high-quality painting contractors to be used as needed• Conduct walk-throughs and follow-up visits with customers• Assist the Sales & Estimators and Operation Managers with operational needs• Track material usage and labor rates• Assist with preparation and sending invoicing following job completion• Work with HR to oversee staff, identify training needs/safety issues• Participate with performance reviews with Operations & HR for supervisors, assistants, and painters• Assist with training, mentoring painters and assistant supervisors• Other duties as seen fit to support operations
