Academy of Performing Arts (APA) | Oak Creek & Franklin, Wisconsin

Love playing piano and working with kids? APA is looking for a friendly, dependable part-time piano instructor. College students are welcome!

Schedule & Pay
• $20–$30 per teaching hour, based on experience.
• Our immediate need is Friday evenings in Franklin, but local piano applicants with ANY availability are encouraged to apply. Friday availability is a priority, not a requirement.
• Opportunities are at our Oak Creek and Franklin studios. Initial hours are limited; any growth depends on student enrollment and is not guaranteed.

Who You'll Teach
Children and teens, roughly ages 5–18, with most students ages 8–13. Lessons are mostly beginner piano, with some intermediate students. We match students to the instructor's capabilities.

What We're Looking For
• Strong piano skills, patience, reliability, and clear communication.
• Experience working with children and a willingness to learn with APA's training and support.
• A music degree and previous private piano teaching experience are NOT required.
• Voice teaching is a bonus, not required.

What You'll Do
• Plan and teach engaging, individualized private piano lessons.
• Track student progress and adjust lessons to each student's needs.
• Communicate with families and the APA team.
• Help students prepare for recitals and build confidence.

APA provides students, and our front desk handles scheduling and billing so you can focus on teaching.

Apply with a brief summary of your piano background, experience working with children, availability, and when you could start. We'd love to hear from you!
