Paid Flag Football Official: UTL Columbus

Paid Flag Football Official: UTL Columbus (Sundays, Spring 2027)

Under The Lights (UTL) Columbus is a competitive, confidence-building non-contact youth flag football league for boys and girls, powered by Unrivaled and Under Armour and operated under iDareU Academy Inc. We're building our officiating crew for the Spring 2027 season and are recruiting current students who want paid one day out the week to work in sports.

**The role**

You'll be on the field every Sunday during the Spring 2027 season, officiating youth flag football games for boys and girls. That means calling plays, managing game flow, enforcing rules, and keeping the environment safe, fair, and fun for every kid on the field.

This isn't just standing around with a flag. You'll need to move, communicate, make quick decisions, and hold your ground when a parent disagrees with your call.

**What you'll do**

- Officiate youth flag football games on Sundays throughout the Spring 2027 season - Enforce league rules consistently and fairly across all age groups - Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and fellow officials during games - Help maintain a positive, safe game-day environment - Report rule disputes, conduct issues, or safety concerns to the Referee Coordinator immediately - Attend any required pre-season training or orientation sessions

**About you**

- You do not have to be enrolled in college - Some background in football — playing, coaching, officiating, or just knowing the game well - Can commit to Sundays for the duration of the Spring 2027 season - Comfortable being on your feet and moving for extended periods - Good judgment and composure under pressure

- Even-tempered and professional with coaches, athletes, and parents

Bonus if you have: - Prior officiating experience at any level - A background in sports management, kinesiology, exercise science, athletic training, or education - Experience working with youth or in a coaching

**Any major is welcomed with prior football experience and/or knowledge

**The details**

- One day per week (Sundays) - Paid position - Columbus, GA - Spring 2027 season

This is a real, paid opportunity to work in sports and gain hands-on experience in a competitive youth league environment backed by Unrivaled and Under Armour. It is also a strong addition to a résumé for coaching, sports management, or education paths.
