What You Will Do:
The Behavioral Consultant (BC) will be trained to gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences of a client's behaviors, in written format, to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral interventions needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based, non-aversive, and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family. The BC will direct client treatment programs including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques, regular meetings, and consultation with client, family, and other treatment team members.
Qualifications for BC role:
- Must have completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field; OR
- graduate degree in ABA; OR
- be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist; OR
- have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct mental health services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling; OR
- have a certification as a BCBA
- Possess Valid PA Driver's license and active car insurance and ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
