Business Operations & AI Innovation Intern

Red Carrot | Paid internship for current students

Schedule: At least 20 hours a week

The opportunity

Apply what you’re learning to real business problems.

Red Carrot is a strategic communications, marketing, creative, and professional services company. We’re looking for a curious business or industrial engineering student who enjoys solving problems, experimenting with AI, and finding better ways to work.

You’ll help identify inefficiencies within the team and build practical improvements. With an assigned point of contact and regular feedback, you’ll take responsibility for defined projects, research possible solutions, and test your ideas.

What you’ll do

- Learn how team processes work and identify steps that are repetitive, confusing, or time-consuming.

- Use AI to research options, analyze information, and develop ideas for improvement.

- Build and test small automations, simple tools, templates, or trackers. - Gather feedback from colleagues and refine your solutions.

- Document your work so others can understand and use it.

- Track results, such as time saved, fewer manual steps, or improved accuracy.

- Validate AI outputs and follow company guidance on approved tools and confidential information.

 What you’ll bring

- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in business or industrial engineering.

- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn through experimentation.

- Hands-on experience using AI for school, personal projects, or work.

- Interest in building automations and simple tools, with an example of something you have tried or created. - The ability to manage an agreed scope of work independently, meet commitments, and ask useful questions when you get stuck.

- Clear communication and attention to detail.

- Previous internship or work experience is required.

What success looks like

- Understand an assigned operational problem and explain why it matters.

- Research potential solutions and recommend a practical approach.

- Build and test a useful improvement within the agreed project scope.

- Share the results, document the solution, and explain what you learned.

Show us your curiosity

Please share a school or personal project where you used AI, analyzed a problem, automated a task, or built something useful. Tell us what you tried, what worked, and what you would improve.
