Grant Writer & Funding Development Specialist

Artist J LLC, a veteran-owned creative design, apparel, and technology company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer & Funding Development Specialist to identify funding opportunities, prepare grant applications, and help secure financial resources to support our company's continued growth.

This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in grant writing, business development, research, and entrepreneurship. Training and professional development opportunities will be available.

• Research and identify federal, state, local, corporate, and private grant opportunities.
• Evaluate grant eligibility, requirements, and application deadlines.
• Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals and funding applications.
• Coordinate with company leadership to gather financial and business documentation.
• Maintain a grant tracking system to monitor applications, deadlines, and award decisions.
• Develop relationships with funding organizations and grant administrators.
• Assist with grant reporting, compliance, and post-award documentation.

• Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and AI research tools.
• Interest in business development, grant writing, or financial resource development.
• Previous grant-writing experience is preferred but not required.

• Internship-to-Employment: Opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business growth.
• Performance-Based Compensation: Where permitted by grant requirements and applicable law, eligible funding-development activities may qualify for compensation equivalent to 3%–6% of qualifying grant funding awarded and received.
• Alternative Compensation: Hourly pay or fixed project-based bonuses may be used where percentage-based compensation is restricted.
• Career Advancement: Potential advancement into positions such as Senior Grant Writer, Grants Manager, Funding Development Manager, or Director of Business Development.

Specific compensation terms, eligibility, and payment conditions will be established in a written agreement before work begins.
