Entry Level Marketing and Communications Assistant

WE Developments is expanding in Detroit, MI, and seeking motivated, personable individuals to join our team as Entry Level Marketing and Communications Assistants. This full-time, on-site opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, early-career professionals, and individuals interested in building practical experience in marketing, communications, customer engagement, brand representation, and client relations.

As a Marketing and Communications Assistant, you'll support local marketing campaigns, promotional initiatives, and customer outreach programs while working directly with customers throughout the Detroit area. You'll help communicate client products and services, build brand awareness, answer customer questions, and create positive customer experiences through professional, client facing interactions.

No previous marketing or communications experience is required. WE Developments provides hands-on training, ongoing coaching, and professional mentorship to help new associates develop valuable workplace skills, gain confidence, and build a foundation for long-term career growth.

Marketing and Communications Assistant Responsibilities

• Support local marketing campaigns, promotional initiatives, and customer outreach activities 
• Communicate directly with customers to share information about client products, services, and promotions Represent client brands professionally during direct customer interactions 
• Assist with brand awareness campaigns and customer engagement strategies 
• Build positive customer relationships through clear, informative, and engaging conversations 
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services 
• Answer customer inquiries and assist with service enrollment and account information 
• Participate in promotional events, marketing activities, and campaign coordination 
• Maintain organized records of customer interactions, campaign activity, and daily results 
• Collaborate with team members and participate in training to improve marketing, communication, and customer service skills

Marketing and Communications Assistant Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Available to work full-time and on-site in Detroit, MI 
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
• Professional, dependable, and positive attitude 
• Comfortable meeting new people and interacting directly with customers 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 
• Willingness to learn and develop new marketing, communication, and customer engagement skills

No previous experience or specific college major is required. Candidates with academic backgrounds or interests in marketing, communications, business, public relations, psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
