Behavior Technician

Opus ABA is hiring Behavior Technicians in Aberdeen, SD. You'll work one-on-one with children with autism, running play-based learning activities designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and tracking each child's progress. No ABA experience required — we train you from day one and pay you while you learn.

This is ideal for students in psychology, education, special education, human performance, nursing, or social work who want real clinical hours before grad school. Schedules are built around your classes, with most sessions in the after-school hours.

What you'll do

• Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions in homes, our Aberdeen center, and community settings
• Follow individualized treatment plans written by your supervising BCBA
• Collect session data and write brief session notes
• Use play, games, and everyday routines to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Meet regularly with your BCBA for coaching and feedback

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Available at least 10 hours per week, weekday afternoons
• Patient, dependable, and comfortable being active and playful with kids
