Read 21 is seeking dependable and enthusiastic college education students or retired teachers to support elementary students as they are introduced to an online literacy application.
Internship Responsibilities
- Monitor students while they use the online literacy application.
- Help students log in and navigate the program.
- Provide encouragement and basic assistance when needed.
- Keep students focused and actively participating.
- Decode technical issues and resolve, according to training.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in an online or traditional college education program.
- Can work without being micromanaged.
- Comfortable working with students in grades 2–6.
- Patient, responsible, professional, and dependable.
- Able to pass any school-required background screening.
- Have own transportation.
Schedule and Compensation
Location: Elementary schools in Birmingham, Alabama
Duration: 7-8 days
Time Commitment: 5-6 hours per day
Pay: $17 per hour
Work Format: In-person
