Advocate Health Summer Internship Program

The Advocate Health Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to explore careers in healthcare through meaningful work experiences, professional development, networking events and mentorship.

Whether you’re a high school, undergraduate or graduate student, you’ll gain real-world experience, build valuable connections and develop skills that support your future career goals.

Types of internships

Internship placements may be available across a variety of Advocate Health departments and functional areas such as Health Care Administration, Finance, Radiology, Community Engagement, Information Technology and more. Opportunities vary each year based on organizational needs.

Eligibility requirements

• High School: must be 16+
• College undergraduate: Enrolled in a four-year degree program
• College graduate student: Enrolled in a post-graduate program (ie. MBA, MHA, MPP, Doctoral)

Internship locations

Opportunities are available across clinical, administrative, operational and corporate functions throughout the organization. While all interns participate in a consistent program experience, specific internship locations, departments and in-person experiences vary based on the role and location.

Internship opportunities may be offered in-person or in a hybrid format, depending on team assignments and program activities.

Internship Dates: May 31, 2027 – August 6, 2027
